, we have suddenly acquired a great deal of knowledge about the parotid gland. Mine suddenly swelled up – so fast that the side of my face was visibly expanding – so we ended up at the hospital worried I was having an allergic reaction. It turned out to be parotiditis or parotitis, which gives the same effect seen in mumps. I’m now realising that many of you reading this journal were born in the age of the mumps vaccine and thus may not even know . The swelling all went down over the next two days, and I just have some residual soreness in my jaw,hyperdunks, some difficulty chewing and an appointment for an ultrasound on Tuesday. It may be related to the diagnostic radiation I had in March (message has been left with endocrinologist),nike lunar, it may be related to the staph infection from the cat bite,nike lunar, it may be completely random. At the speed it hit, it’s almost certainly nothing more serious.

Anyway, Batman,Hyperfuse 2012! We’ve been putting in a new computer system at work, so I am so tired I can hardly think. Playing stupid free games and cross-stitching has been helpful in soothing my whirring mind.

Then your “buddies” smiled back at you and walked away. Kiba waved, and you smiled at him, with you walking back to your house, Sasuke’s angry face still in your mind. You smiled.

You were back at home doing your homework. After a few minutes you finished up and popped a strawberry Hi-Chew candy in your mouth. It was a little rectangle soft taffy thing, with strawberry taffy inside. There are about 6 total flavors..something like that.

Then you remembered the test that was tomorrow. You excelled very well at clone Jutsus.You use shadow clone Jutsus, and you’ve been trying to multiply their numbers, but to no avail.

It was already getting dark, and you decided to go take a walk around the Village.

You hopped out of your window, and walked down a path into the training area, decidingto train while the sun was still setting andthen go back inside. You didn’t feel like training that much, but another part of you really wanted to. You neared the training field, and started hearing two familiar voices: Naruto’s… and Kiba’s.

I wonder what they’re doing..

You decided to hide in a nearby bush and watch from afar. You didn’t really care if they cought you, or that what you were doing isn’t the most polite.

Frankly enough, Kiba was giving Naruto his promised “battle”. They seemed to have just started, so let the show begin:

Kiba’sPOV

“Ha, bring it,nike free run ii, Naruto!” you yelled with your claws ready for attack. Akamaru was next to you, also in his attack position.

“Here goes, Believe it!” Naruto yelled back, and disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Naruto came up behin you, kunai in hand.
Duck. Step right. Scratch twice. Duck again.

Then you stepped backwards, and nodded towards akamaru:

“Akamaru!” you yelled. Then you performed some hand signs and Akamaru transformed into you.

“Fang over Fang!!” and both of you started spinning wildly, then rapidly speed up towards naruto. You had a plan in mind.. that Naruto would never win through.

Naruto’s POV

Kiba started using his Fang over Fang. You still weren’t genin, but knew a few tricks. You used a paperbomb, and stuck it to a kunai. Then you threw it at the ground near you,beats by dre cheap, jumped into a nearby tree and did some Handsigns.

BOOOM and smoke was everywhere..you observed, and once some of the smoke cleared you saw Kiba’s and Akamaru’s lifess body on the ground
“…kisu (dammit)…”Kiba breathed. It was over.I won!!

then you jumped from the tree only to see Kiba’s and Akamaru’s body disappear in a puff of smoke.Dammit! you thought as you looked for them.

“Hahaha! Thought you had me, huh? Never let your guard down, Naruto!” and Kiba threw paperbombs all around me. There was aopening to get through, and I jumped but something bit my ankle.

Akamaru! and Akamaru was holding on to my foot, making it bleed a little.Then Kiba approached me, Kunai in hand. If I moved, the paperbombs would explode and i’d be done for. Dammit.. he won. Kiba put the Kunai to my throat triumphantly, and started:

“Hahaha! You’re nothing but a joke!”he chuckled.

Then the paperbombs disappeared and I stood up. Akamaru let go and jumped on Kiba’s hand. He was petting him, and I just looked down at the floor, angry that I lost. Pft. I’ll win next time.

Back to Abbi

You just saw an amazing fight between two ninjas, that aren’t even genin yet.Amazing! you thought. You decided to go jump out of the bush and approach the training field from the path, so it wouldn’t look too weird.

When you were nearing them, they both looked at you with a surprised expression.

“Abbi?” they both asked.

“Oh, hey guys. Good fight!” you chuckled. Naruto just looked at the floor,not so excited as everyone else.

“Naruto, you did fine. Haha, don’t worry!” and both of them smiled at you.

“You guys okay? Injuries, and all.” wait, they don’t even have injuries except Naruto got a bite mark from Akamaru.

“Uh, yea i’m fine.” Naruto said. Akamaru barked, and you looked at him with a smile:

“Good job, Aki!” then you realized what you just called him.

“Oh sorry.. I didn’t mean to call him that” You said nervously.

“It’s okay. If you want, you can keep calling him that.. Akamaru, what do you think?”Kiba asked. Akamaru barked, and he almost looked like he was smiling.

“Alright, cool!” you exclaimed.

Where the heck did I get “Aki” from..?Hm… you thought.

Then Naruto started walking home”Aw, I gotta get some ramen at Ichiraku’s. Anyone wanna come?” Then you all decided to go get some ramen together,and you never really did train.

Naruto sat on the left,and you sat in the middle. Kiba took a seatto the right. You ordered one bowl of chicken ramen, Kiba had beef, and Naruto had..uh.. you didn’t even know. He had like.. 13..no.. 14 bowls of ramen! How the **** can someone eat that much!? you thought as you finished up your ramen.

Kiba’s POV

You already finished your ramen, and were watching Abbi eat hers. She actually looked kind of cute when she was eating.. ah what am I thinking.. -sigh-Oh well. I gotta get home before onee-chan (Older sister) is going to get mad.

“Hey guys, i’ll pay.” you stated’

“You sure…?” Abbi asked with a surprised expression.

You just nodded and handed the money to the shopkeeper.

“Thanks so much!” Abbi exlaimed, and pulled you into aquick hug.. wait.. what.. just.. happened.. oh my god.. I just got hugged by a girl…

You blushed madly and started “Uh.. gotta go! Onne-chan’s waiting!” and ran like thewind to your house.

Well that was embarassing. My body just kind of moved.. I didn’t even mean to..and you started blushing.

“Aw you leaving too?! Do I get a hug!!!??” He exclaimed as I walked away. You chuckled a little, liking the fact that he was acting up.

“Maybe some other time” you chuckled, and walked to your house.

Youopened the door and took of your shoes “Hey dad sorry I was gone so long. I was eating ramen with Naruto and Kiba.” you yelled, hoping your father heard you since you didn’t feel like going to him and telling him again. You hated repeating yourself.

“Oh, you already dating a guy? Man, the boys love you don’t they..” your father stated questioningly..

“What!? NO! I’m NOT dating anyone! They’re just my buddies, you got that?” and basically gave him the death stare.

“Okay, okay, take that back.”your father chuckled and went into his room. You walked into your room, took a shower, got dressed, and sat on your bed. You still couldn’t believe your father had said that..and then you drifted off to sleep.

The next morning you got ready for the Academy. You were about to become a Leaf shinobi. You grabbed a sandwhich, since you didn’t feel like eating but then:

Everyone started lining up and you heard Shikamaru mumble “What a drag” in the distance.

You really didn’t want to put up with a sad, angry, and disappointed Narutoyelling “Belive it” all the time,so you decided to butt in and talk to Iruka:

“Hey Iruka sensei..” you started

“Yes,Abbi?” Iruka asked

“Well, yesterday I saw a very good fight between Naruto and Kiba, and although Kiba had won (you didn’t want to say Naruto lost to make him feel even worse), I think Naruto did a fabulous job fighting. Please, give him another chance!” you begged calmly (If that’s even possible) and Iruka stared at you, surprised.

Everyone else just looked at you, in a surprised manner.

“Alright, he gets one more chance.” Iruka finally said firmly.

You saw Naruto and he looked like he was going to explode in confetti of happiness. You walked past himto your spot and said: “Better not blow it, Naruto” and took your spot.

He nodded at you, and confidentally did hand signs. This felt like it was the first time you saw Naruto actually serious.

Frankly enough, there was one perfect cloneof Naruto:

“Well, good job Naruto. But I won’t give you your headband just yet. We’ll meet later. But, you better thank Abbi for this. She saved you”

Naruto looked atyou and ran toyou literally almost strangling you.
“Naruto…stop.. can’t breathe..” you muttered.

Then Kiba yelled “Dude, you’re killing her! Let go!!!” and he looked angry, let’s put it at that. Why? I don’t know. Maybe he just didn’t want him to get a headband, or he just hates Naruto’s guts: Probably option 2. Naruto finally let go:

“Sorry…” he said nervously. Why the **** would you strangle me in front of everyone like that!! Anata Baka!!!!! you thought. Then it was your turn and you made a perfect clone. Iruka handed you your headband. You removed your standard, brown headband you always wore and put on your Leaf village handband instead.

All of you walked out of the room, and after some weird final glances form everyone, you walked home. What a day..

Raff (2000) supposes that “an individual’s self is expressing a need to play music.” (p. 45). I am going to transpose some of my words in place of Raffs’. An individual’s self is expressing a need to exercise. In active imagination, the ego encounters the inner figure of the exerciser who urges him to develop a healthy lifestyle. He [the ego] resists because it would be too much work, and he does not have enough time; besides, exercising for health purposes would mean exercising for life. The inner figure counters that thirty to forty-five minutes a day is all that is required. Finally the person realizes that exercise is about physical expression and longevity (imagination), and not about looking good (fantasy). He tentatively begins taking exercise classes, and spends a little extra time every day with it. “This is an example of imagination Nike Lunarfly, for the inner figure emerges with a distinct message from the inner world, and the ego encounters that messenger with integrity.” (p. 47).

I enrolled in exercise classes for five consecutive years, then I invested in a home gym and have made exercising a diurnal process: exitus acta probat, the outcome justifies the deed.
